Hurricane heist is a big budget B movie. There’s plenty of special effects even though some are not very good. The performances are pretty stale and the dialogue is cheesy. Still there’s plenty of action and if you enjoy these kind of silly action movies you’ll enjoy this. Just don’t expect much in terms of plot, characterization, or acting.

I just started watching and saw green noise artefacts on one of the actresses. kind of amazed they would still use a scene that was so obviously under-exposed and still tried to save it

It wasn't the best movie I've seen but it also wasn't the worst. It was a fun movie. Interesting plot and characters. I only watched it for Toby Kebbell and was glad to see him as a "leading man" in ending wasn't or mall point wasn't really believable but it is what it is. I would watch it again if I had nothing better to do. Or if I was waiting out a hurricane at home in Florida.

From director Rob Cohen comes the fun, high-adrenaline action film The Hurricane Heist. The story follows a meteorologist who attempts to rescue his estranged brother from a group of mercenaries who are using a hurricane to cover their robbing of a Federal Reverse bank. It's a pretty ridiculous and formulaic plot, but that doesn't really matter as it's all about the action. And the action sequences are incredibly exciting. The mix of practice effects and CGI make for some extraordinary chases and fight scenes. Also, the score does a good job at heightening the tension and suspense. The Hurricane Heist is an entertaining popcorn film that, while silly and over-the-top, is also a lot of fun.

Surprisingly well-constructed story and a fist full of great stunts.

The Hurricane Heist is certainly a disaster of a movie. With shitty acting, shitty writing, shitty plotlines, and even shitty effects, this film won't blow you away, but rather suck the life out of you.

Loved the dialogue and the script. Story was decent. Action a bit stretched. Acting was commendable. Direction was great.

The CGI is a mess, the acting is mixed, and the story is hilariously bad...and yet I had a damn good time with this movie. Watch it on a stormy night! D+
