The Love Affair is a drama film about a happy married couple shattered by mistrust and vulnerability enjoined by a conflict with a broken-hearted lawyer who loses her way with her own issues. It is a story about marriage, fidelity, relationship, family but most importantly about self-worthiness. Dawn Zulueta, Richard Gomez and Bea Alonzo were all commendable in their portrayals of the three main characters of the film. But among the supporting casts Jane Oineza and her moment scene was the most notable and praise worthy. It is a bit mistress story but it is more of a marriage and relationship story for me. The film was delightful for many moral lessons to learn about relationship and marriage. But I'm glad that The Love Affair didn't just focus on those themes but also emphasizes about finding oneself after being shattered by failed relationship, emotional pain and self-mistakes.
