A lovely romance. I really enjoyed it. I thought Zac Efron was really good and you feel his characters energy as a soldier of war. A nice film to watch that entertains and you feel happy at the end.

I am a sucker for Zac Efron, what can I say. Action, good looking people, humour and romace at its best. Loved it. Don't be put off by the low ratings from critics. Their job description says no fun and light romantic movie shall rate high.

The critics were right on this one. A weak script and slow moving story drove this one into the ground. The climax was particularly preposterous. The performances were OK, but the actors didn't have much to work with.

It is a visually stunning and well-made romance film that explores themes of destiny, second chances, and love. The emotional complexities of the characters create a profound sense of empathy and investment in their journeys. With exceptional performances and an enchanting setting, the film delivers a heartfelt story.

I think it was great. The romance and charisma between the two main characters was on point. I saw the male character before and I knew him from somewhere else so I decided to watch. I didn't know who Zac Ephron was, my son told me but then I looked him up and realized I knew him from the Greatest Showman. He's a great actor, the leading woman was great and knew mom from Meet the Parents, so loved her too. Not good with actor/actress names. Overall, I loved the plot, I thought it was very realistic. Had to rewatch the beginning of the movie to connect the end. Wish they had done a flashback. Other than that, I just loved it all around. The kid was adorable and even the mean cop and his dad were easy to hate. I knew the teacher from another movie as well so they clearly picked known actors. I think this was a definite 5 star B made for TV movie in my book hands down. Would watch again, added to my favorite's list. The critics describe it as syrupy romance. If you've fallen out of romance, I just feel really sorry for you. I'm a 52 year old woman who was with the same man for 25 years. I loved him the day I met him, I loved him the day I left him. He didn't know how to love back. Romance and love makes the world go round. Embrace them!

It's pure gloss and cheese with a dash of over the top mean spirited development, but that's a Nicholas sparks story for ya.
