The Lumber Baron
audience Reviews
, 97% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI loved it a lot. Convincing in period correctness, the cast is splendid, writing is on par and great cinematography. Pulls you into the story and make you feel the nuance surrounding the whole plot. Not easy to find fault here, well worth a watch
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWooden acting, poor script. Just doesn't flow at all. Cannot fathom why it's got 100% on rotten tomatoes.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI love period movies, so I loved the costumes, the settings, the stories. They used an actual lumber baron's house and actual sawyer tools. I love the authenticity.

- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsExcellent story! Great scenery. Not sure why it was rated R on Amazon? Definity a family-friendly movie.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI enjoyed the interesting cast of characters. It was nice to see the movie was filmed in several local settings. It was a good film especially considering the low budget. I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in local history. There were several plot twists that have inspired me to want to do some historical research to find out if any of it is factual. Some of the logging scenes we're a bit excessive therefore I didn't award 5 stars.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI thought it achieved everything it was hoping to achieve. However, I believe the promotion of this film steers the audience in a different direction. Too bad it isn't more available to the midwest.
