The Mandela Effect
audience Reviews
, 63% Audience Score- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsI read the mixed reviews but the quick summary seemed interesting so I decided to give it some watch time. I was pleasantly surprised at the story line, the cinematography, and the Mandela Effect Theory. For me, it was unimportant if the theory is true or if the characters could have been developed further. The movie was very entertaining. If one can just go with how the characters are feeling and not try to dissect if individual events can actually happen the way they did in the movie, then he or she is in for a real treat!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFascinating. At times it makes you think without being affected by watching this movie or it could be affecting your reality just like the protagonist.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsVery entertaining and thoughtful. Great ending
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsvery short movie about the mandela effect, it did some cool things at the beginning but the runtime is short and it does not delve deeper into characters, plot, or much of anything, just stays surface leaving more questions than it answers.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI agree with ACE V. This is a much better movie than most of the reviewers indicate. I also am sure that the Berenstein Bear books spelled it “ein” not “ain”. Several other examples were also ones I would swear to, which takes a concept that is unnerving and gives it veracity! It would have scared the hell out of my late husband. It eventually takes you where you feel better, but not without causing some dizziness on the way! I am recommending it to my adult children who love horror movies. I hope they watch it with an open mind!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsMaybe I am developing ADHD in my advancing years. This movie is supposed to be about the Mandela Effect. I don't know what it is about. It is all over the place with no coherent structure and has vaguely a reference to the Mandela Effect early on and then it becomes incoherent with too much supposed angst and worry.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsIt wasn't a terrible movie but it was all over the place with story. Jumping here and there with scenarios and trying to explain what's going on but it's hard to understand some moments. I'd recommend seeing this movie at least once but I'll never watch it again basically. I give it a 5/10
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThis movie, which is about alternate realities intruding on people's lives in the form of differing memories concerning things and events in the past, is named after the Mandela Effect, which some people claim is a real phenomen about shared alternate memories. It's weird, but I remember the Mandela Effect as being something different...
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNarrow audience appeal to living in the matrix + computer and quantum mechanics geeks.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThe movie had an interesting premise but went in the wrong direction before eventually losing the viewers interest.
