- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsRidley Scott did good here. The pace is slow, but it blends perfectly with the ambiance of the story. Stellar cast excels in character, great cinematography and very well written. I loved it and will surely recommend.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsAn interpretive adaptation in refining the initial potential approach in leaning more towards the confrontational past trope rather than justifying whatever thrilling tendency led to grasp hollowly. Sure it eventually becomes an exceptional showcase certainly for Ridley and Mendelsohn, particularly the former’s attempted rawness, their respective approach feels more coerced in-built terms than naturally enabled convictions. (B-)
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars**The Marsh King's Daughter (2.5/5)** I was excited for *The Marsh King’s Daughter*—great cast, beautiful setting, and the promise of a tense thriller. Ben Mendelsohn, as always, delivers a solid performance, and it was refreshing to see Daisy Ridley in something other than *Star Wars*. Unfortunately, the movie didn’t live up to its potential. The plot feels very generic, like something I’ve seen a dozen times before. While it’s well-acted and visually stunning—the shots of the woods and landscapes are breathtaking—it’s painfully slow. It’s more of a slow-burn drama with a sprinkle of thriller elements, but I wanted *way* more tension and suspense. With such a hollow story, it definitely could’ve been shorter. It’s not a bad movie, just extremely boring. I couldn’t connect with the characters, and the lack of excitement made it hard to stay engaged. If you’re into slow, atmospheric dramas, it might work for you.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsPoetic and beautiful piece of cinema that plays with expectation and danger while asking questions about the mental health of someone who lives through such traumatic the events. It’s difficult to classify. Maybe as a slow psychological thriller.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIgnore the so called critics, they are talking out of their arses! This is a brilliant film. So many female characters in movies today are essentially male characters with breasts, they are under written, two dimensional and pretty much empty and facile. This is one of the few exceptions. Daisy Ridley plays a believable female character who has been moulded by her murderous father, an amazing Ben Mendelson, playing the role as mother/ wife with intelligence and real feminine strength. Lesser screenwriters and directors take note. The script develops the characters realistically, for example the husband is a thoughtful and patient man whereas in lesser movies he would be an unthinking, insensitive oaf. Overall this is a mainstream thriller that does not patronise it's viewers and is all the more rewarding for that. Highly recommended.

- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThis is a good movie, and a great thriller. It keeps you thinking and wondering throughout the movie. I recommend that you see this film.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsвелике прзчарування. 30 хвилин поровся щоб не заснути- в підсумку вимкнув перегляд і присвятив час прогулянці з дітьми. Нікому не рекомендую
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis movie is such a predictable one. It uses trope after trope and is incredibly slow paced. It tries to build suspense but fails as that. The acting is pretty okay but some lines are so cliché it’s hard not to cringe. The only interesting part is the premise of the story. I bet boomers really like this one.
