The Marvels
audience Reviews
, 79% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsthis is the best ever female centric super hero movie in history ... for me captain marvel 1 and wonder woman 1 had female leads but were not female centric movies ...same as terminator, aliens etc..... ww84 wonder woman 1984 is femalec centruc, so is supergirl 1984... us guys never give these movies a chance this needs to change
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsBrie Larson (Danvers), Teyonah Parris (Rambeau) and Iman Vellani (Khan) had great chemistry and played very well together as the lead trio against an understandable villain. For the most part, I thought this movie had a strong plot but there were parts that were quite bad (two scenes in particular were meant to be really funny and just really missed) and some lazy writing that made the supporting characters really weak. This was a terrible injustice to Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsAs a Marvel fan this feels like a much needed return to the fun, action packed movies that made us all fall in love with the MCU in the first place. We need more of this Marvel!
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 stars*Sigh*....I'm going to be completely honest, I only went to watch this film included speculation of the post-credits scene. Other than that, I was entirely let down & disappointed. The movie had its moments - some decent action scenes & some funny moments. However, that doesn't save the film at all! I will say that some of the characters were cool. Ms. Marvel was the standout performer, and she did what she could with the awful script. Her family was also great, and caused a lot of laughs in the theater. Captain Marvel was cool as usual, and I loved the showcase of her powers, still proving why she's one of thr strongest characters in the MCU. Nick Fury was okay, and Monica Rambeau was a bit of a letdown. The main villain was one of the worst & weakest villains in the mcu to date - I really did not care for her character at all. Now for the moment that really took me out of the movie - the musical number. Like why?!? Just why, would they need to include that in an action-adventure MCU films? I kid you not, after that musical scene, I legitimately almost walked out of my theater. I don’t have a problem with musicals, I actually like them. If a movie is meant to be a musical, we should know that first-hand. Final verdict: Bottomline, this is a strong contender of being the WORST MCU films of all time. Literally the best part of the movie was the post-credit scene.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsHad low expectations regarding this movie and it still managed to dissapoint me. Monica had no development, wich is a disgraceful considering she's the only one w/o a solo content. Kamala's family is annoying and unnecessary; the monster-cat plot is a waste of screentime, just like the whole singing-plant BS and Carol... OMG ... Brie Larson tries, she really does but she doesn't really get anywhere w the character. Marvel tried too hard to make a girlie fun movie and forgot to make a good movie. It could've been epic and it is just meh. It doesn't even have good action scenes.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsNo me esperaba nada más asquerosa película
