- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLovely movie... Too bad William Hurt is no longer with us. Such a great actor, and his performance here is no exception!
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsA true and sweet story.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI’ve seen a lot of truth to life stories. This has got to be one of the better ones really sad at times make you laugh at others times get your heart pumping at the action. Yes I will highly recommend this one James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas October 11, 2023.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsFamily sized true story of a high school volleyball player that was tragically killed. Helen Hunt leads the grieving team back to another state title.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsPeople say this movie is too emotional but the people that the movie is about have said the real story was even more dramatic than the movie. It's sad that critics especially do not like movies like this. They like dysfunction, sex & violence and messed up people. This movie won't give you that. It will touch you, inspire you and make you feel extreme loss & how to overcome it. Caroline Found's story is amazing. HBO real sports did a great story on the Found's and the strength of Dr. Found is inspiring after losing both Line & his wife of pancreatic cancer within 2 weeks of each other. In todays world where many kids are treated like mini adults, it was refreshing to see a true story of Midwestern values and love and acceptance that even 11 years later is still touching people. Their FB page still gets hits and letters sent to the coach and the foundation which is still going strong today. I watch it at least once a year.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI don't cry often, not to mention in movies. But couldn't help myself multiple times because the story is so touching. Friendship through high school sports, stepping up for the team, winning states...these are a lot of connections with my life and even though we don't have someone who passed away but my connection with the story feels strong somehow.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsDespite the poor ratings, I enjoyed this touching true story brought to life about the trauma of a female HS championship volleyball team in Iowa coming to grips with the loss of their captain and how they endured to honor her legacy. Good cast, but not sure that I liked Helen Hunt's character as she seemed disconnected from the group.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI think danika yarosh should make more films
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsErin Moriarty is great and the story heartfelt. It doesn't do anything new but sometimes an emotional sport drama is all you need.
