Not at all terrible, but has no reason to exist or even to watch.

Entertaining superhero movie with a different approach. Nice horror twist combining two genres which appealed to me being a fan of both. Characters were true to the source material and while it started off with a slow grind, it picks up and by the third act, displays the use of their powers nicely. Illyana Rasputin deserves another shot in projects. As with the others. Could be a nice pilot to a tvseries even. Initial reviews made me wait this long to see The New Mutants. Good thing I did because I ended up liking it. While it’s not a sophisticated movie as others expect it to be, it delivers as a superhero movie.

There are so many missed opportunities with this show. It’s sad, so dang sad. Really wanted this one to work, but nope.

I loved the movie. I wish they made more. I want to see where they go next. Nice change of pace for the genre with a more horror themed take. They tried something different and it was a home run. I got creeped out big time by smiley face invasion. The actors did a great job!

One of the best movies in 2020 I recently watched it last night because I was bored and wanted it with no expectations mostly because I a little fan of the x men if you a little x men fan and you don’t know the characters this is honestly for you I give it 7/10

Honestly? I love this movie. It's so different. I love that it's not relying on action scenes a lot, though we get a lot at the end. It's a cool scenario, it's fresh and a very different "superhero-movie". I just wish it was longer, so the "horror-elements" could last even longer. I recommend watching this.

It was fine. Could have done without what seemed like the forced lesbian kissing scene. Seemed out of place. The characters really lack development.

another one from my watchlist, the film had potential, nonetheless I enjoyed, specially Anya Taylor Joy character, wished we could 've see more of her

It captured the quirkiness and teen angst of the New Mutants comic books I read in the 80's. It was never intended to be the X-Men, but a spinoff in it's own right, complete with all the confusion inherent in adolescence... with mutant powers thrown in to over-dramatize the emotional chaos that comes with hormones. Think Rogue and Iceman from the original X-Men movies, without any adult role models or supervision (like Wolverine and Prof. X). It fit the bill for what it was intended to be, per the original comic.
