- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWho was Tom Michel ?! One minute he's cynical, next he's a very charming ladies man 😉 🥰😆then next hes a gentle hero who saves a penguin but also wants to get rid of it, then next he's a put your head down doesn't want to get involved in anything, but then all of a sudden he's fired up and gets involved in trying to change a not very well known political situation that was occuring in Argentina in the 70s; a country that isn't his own and in reality it really doesn't concern him. My only tiff with this is I wish they had strengthened the main character Steve was playing and then base everything else around him instead of trying to insert too many narratives..I wish this was a romantic movie because Steve is so charming..🤔 I honestly don't think there was a solid "life message" or "lesson" besides "put the penguin on the pool " 🐧 and maybe that's the appeal it's silly and God knows everything is too serious now we all need a good laugh these days .I enjoyed this..and laughed out loud (along with some others in local arts cinema)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLoved it and the fact that’s it is based on a true story makes it even better.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIt’s a charming film about a man finding purpose for a helpless animal in need.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI despair of finding interesting films to watch. I am not in to Marvel. Remakes of classics, no thanks. I grew up watching some great actors and actresses of the 50s, 60s and 70s. However, this was a charming film. Albeit set in troubled times. Reminding us of the thousands missing. Based on a true story, too.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIt was a charming, subtly funny film for all ages.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA first rate, touching tale of personal growth and kindness.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIt has the sardonic intellect SC is known for, as well as an abundance of warmth and charm, and is appropriately emotive, whilst avoiding unnecessary sentimentality. It's hard not to like - after all, it's SC with a penguin!
