- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars1st this is not a thriller, it is a tragedy. It is a slice of hidden sad sick family secrets and how the resolution does not leave you cheering for the empowerment of the characters , rather sad for the total loss of innocence. Some of the supporting high school characters are over the top and detract from the movie. There is pure evil in this world and it is sad that it is person who supposed to be the protector.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsA deaf girl in the family can actually listen to the dark secrets that her new family has.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsSTUPID JUST STUPID DON'T WATCH
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe incest was too disturbing to get past.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsHad potential with some decent actors but the story was boring and predicable. Was trying to be a soft-core porn without any nudity.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe Quiet is actually a great movie with good acting and a surprisingly clever twist. Camilla Belle and Elisha Cuthbert both put in top notch performances but the standout here is Camilla Belle. It starts out like your average teen thriller set in high school. While Nina is the stuck up popular girl her godsister Dot who just moved in is a loner. It doesn't take long for the suspense to build. Fortuately one of the themes isn't really shown as much because the dad was very creepy. In the end The Quiet is a effective and surprisingly fun teen thriller. I really dug it.
