The Retaliators
audience Reviews
, 89% Audience Score- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsVery entertaining film. Violent and gory and not for the faint-hearted, it's pretty bonkers fun. I quite enjoyed seeing a few of my favourite rock stars like Jacoby Shaddix (from Papa Roach) and Amanda Lyberg (Eva Under Fire) in cameos.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA pastor is devastated after his daughter is murdered by a notorious drug dealer. The cop investigating the horrendous crime offers the man of faith the unique opportunity of torturing the monster who killed his daughter. The situation takes a dark turn when the main protagonist is trapped in a dangerous underworld of crime, being forced to fight against a horde of hedious assassins. "The Retaliators" portrays a character seeking revenge for his daughter’s brutal murder. The heroic act is seen as a transformative event that heals the man from his personal tragedy, even if this implies transgressing his own ethical boundaries (“When do the sins of a good man make him bad?”). The final act is a wild and unpredictable ride, containing scenes of violence that might be considered by some viewers as being excessive and tasteless. An exhilarating tale of grief and revenge!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis movie is very weird and random, and not in a fun way. The intro is not compelling, followed by slow and boring, and it feels like 4 different films after that until it finally culminates in climax that's only moderately interesting. Most of the acting is terrible. Some of the story makes absolutely no sense too. This was on RT Christmas movie list, a baffling choice.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWOW, that was bloody brilliant...impressive visuals, editing, cast, locations...a monster made a monster who made monsters more monstrous...grisly bloodbath of deserved deaths...double feature with CHRISTMAS BLOODY CHRISTMAS
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsOne subplot too many, while others could have been more drawn out and extended.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI picked this movie randomly to watch with my wife. We both absolutely loved it. The twist was incredible. The story was very original and the acting was great. I was pleasantly surprised to see Lombardi pull this character off due to knowing him from "rescue me". I plan to tell all my friends about this movie. 10/10 will recommend.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsWhat a stupid movie. The weak, sackless pastor couldn't do job at start, sets a group(already psychotic) of tourtured psychos free due to a "moral issue" for a pastor lol. So, 2 other father's lost their daughters as well. Finally grows a pair at the end when doesn't matter. There is an hour and half of my life I can never get back.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starseh; this is fine. i'm impressed there's so many good ratings - i mean, it's not a bad film at all, but it's got kind of a rough start/middle. the acting is almost unbearable at times but the action sequences are good. the main bad guy carried the entire film. & while the end fight was pretty good, it ended so fast & easy it seemed unrealistic. overall not a bad watch, but i don't think i'd go out of my way to recommend it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsLoved it! The music was great, the plot was interesting, the surprise rolls made it even better.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIf you’re tired of the same old BS this is for you.
