The Retirement Plan
audience Reviews
, 41% Audience Score- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsLiterally one of the worst movies I've ever seen. A child could do a better job of directing. Don't waste any time watching it. Truly awful.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsImplausibly laughable. A schlokey cheese-fest that will have you laughing b/c the movie can't be taking itself seriously. My take= they all got a nice lil chunk of $$ and were on set in a nice location= to doan easy few weeks of work. I would probably watch and enjoy a movie of Cage just washing his car for an hour and a half, lmao. I'm NOT going to keep it in my collection... BUT- I'm glad I watched it and recommend it for others to watch.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsWhat a piece of garbage of a movie. Cage you need to retire. Reactions are too slow. Plot is stupid, and the comments are so outdated, that you know what is going to happen before it happens. Sick of these low budget film. Most likely was written and directed by a f'n Democrat.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsGetting this to 40 for the fellas. If Zach doesn't pick and phile this, he's a coward and a dishonest podcaster. Speaking of which, it was nice to see Ernie Hudson but I wish he was using the same accent he did in Congo. Cage, as usual, is completely "ass off." Can't wait to hear which woman Amin gives an "ass on" to.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsHaven't watched a Nicolas Cage flick in twenty odd years, until picking up "Next" recently at the library. Wow! I'd forgotten how sexy Nicky's eyes are. A very compelling face, he draws you in. Anyway, I hired this a week later, and watched it as soon as I arrived home. I love the long hair and goatee look that Nicolas pulls off well in this flick. Was able to re-watch it straight after the first run through, but it wasn't for quotable lines, nor any other reason than a perve fest at Nicky's sternum, chest and stomach! The man is a hottie! A b grade flick is what it is, but with one very sexy lead man, I am not complaining. Now to watch all the other flicks in Nick's back catalogue!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsit's the best action movies ever
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThe very talented cast elevates a fairly standard action comedy plot. Nicolas Cage continues to find interesting new performances, Ashley Greene is a great secondary, and the film moves at a good pace for an enjoyable experience.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI like Nicolas Cage. This movie I saw in theaters and watched again when I found out it was on Hulu. I liked Ron Perlman in this movie also. This was a fun cheesy Action Movies, I may or may not watch it again. 3 stars instead of 2.5 because of Nicolas Cage.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe Retirement Plan may be a Nick Cage-led action-comedy, but newcomer Ben Darling steals a surprising amount of the spotlight as a quirky taxi driver. Darling’s character, though seemingly minor, delivers an unexpectedly refreshing dose of comic relief with impeccable timing. His dry, deadpan humor stands out amidst the chaos, and you can't help but wonder if this cabbie has seen it all—or if he’s just too laid-back to care. For a rookie, Darling navigates the role like a seasoned pro, giving the film an extra layer of fun unpredictability. Keep an eye on him; he’s going places—literally.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsI thought it was a fun yarn. My friend said it didn't have enough depth of characters, but comedies are usually a bit superficial. He didn't agree that it was a necessarily a comedy, but I laughed quite a bit. He seemed to think it was a more serious movie.I also enjoyed the plot twists.
