One of the best movies of the last 25 years! It requires some depth and soul searching to understand the meaning of this movie, but it doesn't require a lot of brain power to do so. Ben Stiller's directing is phenomenal. His character really carries the show, but he adds additional characters that really set this movie apart. A movie about perseverance, stretching yourself, moving out of your comfort zone and really finding yourself. A MUST watch!

The first thing that I love about this movie is how all the evil men are instantly recognizable because they have their hair done. Blow dried, gelled, sprayed, created into a perfect helmet at $500 a pop. Ben Stiller still gets his done at the local barber shop when he has time. Then the fantasies are a blast and the scenes from Life- and Look-era journalism are, for me at least, heart wrenching. In a course I taught on the 60s, I had students read an article from Life on the Kennedy assassination, and they were so impressed by the tone: serious, sober, not looking to vilify or titillating anyone. Can you also do that with pictures? Yes. The movie is for anyone who loves American history in the 60s, and a terrific story, and dramatic vlreal8zations of someone dreaming the impossible dream.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. A journey. And for me, it hit deep. It's the kind of movie that doesn't just entertain you-it wakes something up inside you and for me this movie did. The camera work is breathtaking, amazing, beautiful and the script uses simple words to tell a good story. It captures the beauty in everyday life and the courage it takes to step outside your comfort zone. I saw myself in Walter. His quiet struggles, that feeling of being "late" in life, the hesitation to try new things because of fear or shame-yeah, that's me right now. But this movie didn't make me feel stuck-it made me feel alive. The landscapes of Iceland and Greenland are absolutely stunning. That scene where Walter skates through Iceland-wow. I've never even been on a skateboard, but now I have to try. In Iceland, no less. I want to sip tea and eat donuts in that tiny Greenland bar where he escaped in a helicopter. I want to ride on that boat. I want to see the Himalayas. This film reminded me that the world is still out there-wild, beautiful, waiting. The soundtracks may not be Hans Zimmer-level epic, but it sticks with you. It grows in your heart. Just like the movie itself. I loved every second of it. This isn't a one-time watch. This is a film I'll come back to whenever I need to remember that life is still out there, waiting for me to live it.

You have to see this movie. It is an enjoyable feel good movie that somehow can inspire you to do more in your life. This movie brought back my affinity to David Bowie’s music and more. This is the movie that you have to ignore critics’ reviews. Many critics make wrong evaluations about movies and sometimes I am okay with that, but this one you have to really ignore critics and see the movie yourself.

Just an amazing, fun to watch and an inspiring movie with a good story and good actings.

Is it far-fetched? Hell, yeah. Is it still enjoyable? Yes. Perhaps if I had watched this when I was younger, all these fantastic elements would have awed me more. The story is decent; the scenery is amazing. Walter Mitty, as portrayed by Ben Stiller, is amiable af. We are all prisoners of our minds, but Mitty's mind is no such confinement, for his daydreaming takes him farther than most have trodden. Assigned to handle the image of the final cover of the magazine he works for, Walter is presented with the opportunity of a lifetime to embark upon an adventure to seek out a missing negative (due to no fault of his own (?)). If you really think about it, the answer is obvious all along. Regardless, it is an entertaining watch.

An Introvert's Movie through and through: As an introvert, I always find myself dreaming of big things I want to do. Be it hopping on a plane and going to my dream European vacation without any regard of the fact that I am broke, or of standing up for myself when I find myself being bullied, of just asking my crush out and going on a magical date (which I was able to do and she is now my wife). This movie encapsulates that feeling which makes it relatable to a lot of audiences. I look at reviews for this movie and I see personal takes on it, how it resonates with their own desire to travel the world or go out into the world and experience Life. I get that many would find this confusing at times. I went to this movie because I saw a trailer of it on TV and expected a Ben Stiller typical comedy (which I love). Truth be told, I was caught off guard by how this film looked. The cinematography at the opening scenes told me this isn't going to be a comedy. The music at the title sequence also tells you that his film will hit you emotionally. And then the second act showed me what it was all about. The rest is history. I may be biased but I have watched this movie countless times. I shared this with everyone I have ever met, telling them how this movie inspires. So if you are thinking of watching this, just go do it. If you are an introvert like me, I believe that there is a high chance you'll find a new favorite feel good film.
