- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsWhat a horrible cop out of an ending. It was good up until a point; had all of your class conflict issues: rich and powerful v poor and weak. But really? How does it end? It ends in ... well, shite. It was a shite ending. It was a shite ending because it felt like another episode was impending. The story wasn't finished. Such a missed opportunity for some ambiguous ending that held the rich family 'partially' accountable. But it doesn't even attempt some kind of quasi-redepmtive ending. Looking out into the sea: utter trash. Yeah, it brings the story's image back to the beginning, but it's garbage. It made me wanting for so much more.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI have not seen this exact movie before. But for the entire viewing, I kept thinking that I could have sworn I'd seen the story's emotional spirit, visual tone, and plot point structure appear in a substantial handful of other movies.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsWell it earns B movie status for its blinding errors, far-fetched action and over indulgence of such a coincidence. But all it would of taken is a quick glance under the suspected former SS officers left armpit to settle the dilemma of his military status. All SS members had their blood type tattooed there or the remnant of a scar where they had it cut out after the WW2 victors hunted them down. All in all it was still well acted and well paced.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsI watched this movie because I'm a fan of Joel Kinnaman but I felt more anxious than entertained. Keeps going on and on with the same and nothing seems to happen until the very end, while she smokes her head off. I guess is not my cup of tea.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsWell acted. Interesting story. I was entertained.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis is a fairly thrilling torture flick
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars„The Secrets We Keep" ist ein Thriller-Drama von Yuval Adler… Nach dem Krieg bauen sich zwei Holocaust-Überlebende ein neues Leben in New York auf… Eine solide, gut gespielt und leicht vorhersehbare Geschichte, mit vielen faszinierenden Wendungen… „The Secrets We Keep" ist für mich ein sehenswerter Thriller, der auch zum nachdenken anregen will.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsTasteless revenge porn. Redeemed to a certain extent by Rapace's outstanding performance, but ultimately a relentlessly depressing journey through familiar ground that's been trod before to much better effect. In the end, all three of the central characters are equally despicable, deplorable, morally bankrupt excuses for human beings. All are victims and all are antagonists. Character development is unsure and incomplete, and in one case literally cut off mid sentence, making it impossible to care about any of them. Above all, this film has a thoroughly dark and depressing view of human nature with which I think most would disagree.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis was a tightly knit, visually enticing and suspenseful little film that builds slowly and relentlessly towards a shocking conclusion. The acting is flawless and there are lots of fascinating twists and turns to the story.
