The 2004 remake of The Stepford Wives is an awful, all-around corny cinematic misstep. It's baffling to imagine who had the hair-brained idea to transform a chilling, satirical cult classic into such an unfunny, goofy camp movie.

I don't know if anybody thougt some day that Frank Oz was a viable director. He had talent for puppets, he should have stuck to that

This is a pretty funny version, great cast, compared to the 1975 film triller with a creepy ending, I did enjoyed this one , I don t see why such low ratings.

It's bad but watchable and entertaining because of the cast. Great waste of talent.

Yes it’s bad but the cast carries the entire movie and makes it believable!

I liked it. Thought the acting was good and kind of a kooky story, which I liked.

It's not as bad as they say… I watched this film about a month after I saw the film Don't Worry Darling, which I absolutely loved. I heard this film practically led DWD into its footsteps, so I decided to give this one a try Sure, it's imperfect, but it's a very underrated film. I did get in a few laughs, a couple of chills and also some cheap thrills as well. This Stepford Wives remake may not live up to its potential, but it's an instant cult-classic in my opinion and I definitely look forward in seeing this movie again. The cast was great too. Personally, I didn't think it was as good as DWD, but I highly recommend Stepford Wives if you loved Don't Worry Darling. My overall rating: 7/10

The story has been changed quite a bit from the original, it's not nearly as creepy as the 1975 version. But I got a few laughs, and the cast is great.
