The Stolen Valley
audience Reviews
, 89% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI was looking for a unique contemporary western drama and happened to see this on Prime tonight - this is one of the best female-led modern westerns that I have ever seen! It's not often you get to see modern takes on the West, but when you combine it with brassy women leads and a Native-Latino protagonist it delivers on an experience that I feel is noteworthy. People who enjoy Yellowstone, Territory, or Landman are sure to like this! I found it refreshing and enjoyable with moments of levity and action that flow well together. The main leads are excellent in their performances, and I loved their individual backstories as it laced together into the central plot!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThis could have been a great movie, but the lead and a few others just can't act. The director also doesn't seem to be present during the shooting...
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat Movie. Great acting. Pleasantly surprised. Def a movie to watch.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFrom the very beginning and steadily until the end, I was captivated by The Stolen Valley. The Western era was a wild and ruthless time, many lives were lost and land stolen by settlers. These are parts of history that have been minimized by the general public. My own ancestors were culture cleansed, I don't have reservation land or heritage to hold onto. This movie highlights the small moments where a culture, Diné language, was being barely kept alive. The plot, the storyline, the production team and actors made it happen! My grandfather loved Western movies, he would've liked this one. My favorite scene was Lupe jumping through the bullet hole out of Carl's house toward the end. Micah Fitzgerald played the part of Carl to the T. Thank you for the production!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie was awesome. The actors, the actress, the scenery the whole movie was amazing. I rented it through my Apple TV as it's worth every penny. I'm gonna watch it again on my 200+ screen projector TV highly recommended to everyone :) to check this movie out if I can give a rating between one and 1000 I would choose 1000+ this movie was this good.
