The Suicide Squad
audience Reviews
, 82% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMore than made up for the hot mess the first one was. Introduced great characters and actually gave Harley more to do than pine after the Joker. Brilliant casting, one of the best superhero type film for years.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsNot my taste,DC struggles to keep up with Marvel(although Marvel went overboard after thor Ragnarok.) in my opinion. ...Good movie if it was made in 90s,maybe early 2000.....beach invasion intro shocked me,"T.D.C." arms moving slower than B!ob.....and guy waving part ........nooooooooo,stood up and made popcorn for a better movie. My opinion on movie graphics, storyline, etc.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat and fun movies! James Gunn is really good and genius...
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe best DCEU movie by far. The best directed, the best written, the best acted, and the most heartfelt. James Gunn completely killed it.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsExcessively violent and bloody. Non stop action but weak plot (there is a plot?)
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThe Suicide Squad explodes with James Gunn’s signature blend of irreverent humour, bold characters, and stylized carnage that keeps things wildly entertaining. While the chaos can be overwhelming, its gleeful unpredictability and unexpected emotional beats make it one of the fresher takes in the superhero genre.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsReally enjoyed it. The different tonality from the first worked in it's favor and the cast is awesome. If I were to nitpick, some jokes fell flat and went a bit too long and the overall vibe of the movie was that of a slightly more expensive streaming one, not a cinema worthy blockbuster. But that's ok (though it did the movie no box office service, tanking it), it's still a very enjoyable turn off your brain, romp
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOne of james gunns weakest movies
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWhile not as good as his Guardians of The Galaxy movies, this is definitely a very good movie and one of the best comic book movies (doesn't really qualify as a superhero movie) of the last few years. As is usually the case with James Gunn, here he takes a group of people that you generally wouldn't like and makes you like them. The cast is clearly having fun playing these characters and James Gunn is clearly having fun with his unapologetic sense of humor. Let me be clear, this humor is not for everyone as the most sensitive people would find it cruel or tasteless, however, if you have a taste for dark humor, you're going to laughing non-stop. I do have say, Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn is definitely the worst part of the movie. It's not Margot Robbie's fault, her side of the story simply feels like it was taken from a different film entirely. I have no doubt that Warner Bros demanded that Gunn included her in the movie (given her popularity) and he had to add her at the last minute to a script that was already finished. In fact, you can almost easily see how the movie works just as well (if not better) without Harley Quinn's story. If it wasn't for the Harley Quinn side quest (to borrow a videogame term), I would give the movie a 8.5/10, but as it is I give it a 8/10.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsA great time, and it gave us Peacemaker!
