- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsIt's a really cool movie, and I don't even like Mario.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsA very fun albeit thinly plotted love letter to the Mario franchise. The movie is filled to the brim with references and easter eggs, from background visuals to music pieces and even voice cameos from the original Mario actor Charles Martinet. The lore expansion with the Brooklyn scenes was a nice touch. Mario and Luigi have genuinely great chemistry and it’s a shame we didn’t get to see more of it outside of the first and last 20 minutes of the movie. The movie looks amazing. It’s very colorful and captures the essence of the Mario games so well but with enough of a modern polish to make it feel truly cinematic. Initially, I was pretty baffled by the voice casting choices when they were first announced. But I have to admit, they all actually did a pretty solid job bringing these beloved Mario characters to life. My only major complaint is that the movie’s plot and dialogue feels thinned and rushed. The pacing is so fast that it forgets to let the characterization or journey really sink in. It would’ve been nice to see more of Mario and Luigi’s brotherhood too. But to be fair, I’d say that’s a good sign if my biggest complaint is that I wanted MORE of the movie. Not sure how non-fans will feel, but I certainly had a great time with this Mario adaptation and I can’t wait to see what sequels and spinoffs await in the future.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThe Super Mario Bros Movie is a dream come true for fans of the Mario games, regardless of their age. While it may not be a critically acclaimed achievement, it offers a basic and enjoyable experience for fans, rather than being a masterpiece for critics. Nevertheless, there’s much to celebrate in this film. The animation from Illumination is impressive, the voice acting cast is decent, and the overall feel of the movie is a blast from the past. Grading: B
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI approached this film with high expectations, and none of them were disappointed. Let's start with the graphics. The characters look exactly like they do in the games! Their movements, gestures, and expressions are just like we know them from the games. The personalities of each character match perfectly as well! There is something new to discover in every scene, and anyone who loves Super Mario or grew up with it (like I did) will enjoy it. This film really brought out so many nostalgic feelings in me. I can only say that my cheeks hurt after the film because I smiled and laughed throughout the entire 93 minutes. It was truly a great joy to watch this film. You can tell that there is so much love for detail and that the creators really put thought into it. I believe that even if I watch the film for the 10th time, I will still discover something new. Truly amazing cinema! Please, more of this! There are so many other Super Mario games that could be made into films. I would definitely be excited! Conclusion: An absolute must-see for every Super Mario fan!!!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsPerfect! Now Mario The Movie is a best movie ever!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI loved all the references of the Mario games, it looks gorgeous, and it is a pretty fantastic adaptation. But the story kind of felt rushed, there was a lot of things happening every 10 seconds. I would recommend the Sonic movies more, but this isn't bad though.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsI hope sequel is cancelled. I am Sonic fan but I don't like Mario. I wanted Mario was ceased in 2023.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsIt was fun for the whole family! Loved the Peaches song and DK. Had to go out and buy the film caused we enjoyed it so much.
