The Swan Princess

Oh, honey... which studio did this? Somebody tried to make a Disney princess movie and found out it wasn't that easy.

This is hidden gem! I love almost everything in this movie! It's beautiful! I felt like this for first 20 minutes, then it does huge nose dive and becomes nonsential mess.

Even after the veneer of nostalgia wears away, I actually really enjoyed this movie. Rogers’ character added a lot of funny moments that I enjoyed as an adult more than I did as a child. The voice acting was well done and the songs were very enjoyable. Yes, it’s old, and yes, it didn’t have the budget of a Disney movie, but I think that adds to its charm. Odette is a good character that stands her ground and doesn’t let things just happen to her. Her animal friends are funny and enjoyable, and the voice acting there is obviously great with the likes of John Cleese among the ranks. The villain was pretty well done, considering his slightly goofy visual design. He had a banger of a villain song with No More Mr. Nice Guy and I hated him an appropriate amount for his villainy. Overall, it’s enjoyable for the time period in which it was made, and it serves as a time capsule for fairy tales retold in classic 2D animation. I love this movie to this day and that’s a hill I will die on.

Don bluth Snow White ripoff

Due to both content and animation quality, this movie feels much older than it actually is. That's not to say either are sub par, this movie is just a classic fairytale told using classic animation during an era that was pushing the new. It has both the beauty and the wit of its counterparts, and the musical numbers to back it all up. There is an abundance of side characters / kicks, but each stands out in its role. This is the most Disneyesque non-Disney movie you will ever see.

The 90s version of Land Before Time (where there are endless sequels) this adaptation of the classic Ballet Swan Lake has good animation and some decent songs but the script and characters don't have substance

A very good movie for both boys and girls. If you like musicals and princess movies this film will not disappoint!

An incredible animated gem in its own right, THE SWAN PRINCESS is an absolutely rare masterpiece that will entertain every child young and old.

To be honest i have great levels of nostalgia for this movie. Me and my sister put this on our VHS player every now and then and have a good time. So yeah of course i really like this movie!
