Pretty intense, a bit narrow focus on a handful of individuals, with some crazy video and audio. But the completely offhand global warning comment at the end leaves a bad taste.

The visual effects led my right brain to enjoy the cinema. Like the original Twister, the storms and their effects were excellently portrayed. But the perforated plot and overall storyline left me unsatiated. Tragedy during the first act was predictable, based on the original Twiser. But the obligatory romance between the lead characters was both too rapidly initiated and ultimately unfulfilled in the final act. Bologna was sandwiched between the two and seasoned with schmalz and hollow altruism. For those reasons, I nominate the storm as the best actor in the film.

Not what I expected. Went too deep into the lives of these individuals, way more detail than needed. I hoped to see more footage of the tornado, more on the aftermath of the destruction, some aerial footage before and after, maybe a couple survivor stories. It was difficult to tell what was actual footage and what wasn't. I was disappointed.

This movie is pretty bad. Ludicrous scenarios, flat acting with no charisma and god awful music. It's only saving grace issue is the CGI representation of the storms which is actually pretty impressive. Everything else was mediocre!

A very well documentary from the Deadly Joplin Tornado. A really well put film together and very emotional as well!
  • Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
Immersive, thrilling and frightening, this documentary very well shows the vulnerability of all us humans when confronted with the mighty force of nature.

I found it very well paced and easy to watch, not a fan of this kind of docu but I liked it

Alexandra Lacey did a bad thing. She took a human piece and hung the whole 1-1/2 hour experience on an uncited statement before credits ran. If this is the result of climate change, make a documentary that has information to support that viewpoint. Intellectually lazy. And dishonest seeing as though it’s not part of the advertisement, I was part of a captured audience at that point.

This is a good documentary on a bad twister, but saying it was caused by global warming at the end to push a agenda really made me lose respect for the film.

I was compelled mid-viewing to write a review. How this doesn't have higher ratings is beyond me. These stories are so intense. I lost track of how many times my jaw dropped. Fantastic show!
