The Ultimate Life
audience Reviews
, 57% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of the best movies I have ever seen, loosely based on the life of the four Big rich oil men in Mid century America. The problems is he experiences and the passion and drive that is portrayed by the character to be successful is very real.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsFilme: O Que Realmente Importa – Presente 2 Assistido: 27-4-24 Elenco: @logans_run @missalihillis @abcorrigan @thedrewwaters Modelo: #romance #drama Duração: 1h 45m Ano: 2013 Minha opinião: O 1º filme foi bem melhor. Vale apena assistir? Sim. Nota: 5
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsIt was meh. The acting was at times really bad. The overall storyline dragged along, then was rushed at the end. Aside from that, it was ok
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars3.5 stars; Why can't they make simple wholesome movies like they used to..... Films without complicated plots that are hard to follow. No complex characters suffering from various psychoses. No underlying message about all the evils of this country and our society. . Well, judging by this film, they can. It is a simple straight forward rags-to-riches story about a man driven to achieve success. As you would expect, enjoyed by audiences and panned by Critics.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsMy family loved' The Ultimate Gift' so we were looking forward to this squeal (which actually provides a backstory for the original movie and is more of a prequel.) The first movie wasn't a huge box office hit or high-quality film but was an enjoyable, heartwarming, family movie with a great message, good acting, and a decent script...along with some familiar, well-liked actors. On the other hand, this movie came across as very low budget and amateurish. The movie had some very unrealistic, even silly, scenes and was completely predictable. Those things in and of themselves wouldn't be all bad but the writing, acting, direction, and pacing were also pretty bad. This film tells the story of Red Stevens, the grandpa, played by James Garner, from the first movie, and how he became the man he was and why he passed The Ultimate Gift down to his grandson, which was interesting and we did watch it to the end but this movie was very disappointing and not as pleasant to sit through as the first movie, In My Humble Opinion!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI loved it! The perfect lesson for a wonderful life!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsbeautiful movie even though it looks like it could had been shown on a tv channel. but overall a good storyline. good actors. and greatly entertaining.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsNot as good as "the Ultimate Gift" but still a nice little movie.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsFor all the critics that put this movie down b/c it's a faith based, heartfelt movie, I say get a blow dryer & defrost what's left of your hearts. This is an excellent movie, that doesn't focus on God (like a normal faith based movie), but instead focuses on teaching that family should come before money. That our legacy isn't about what we can leave behind to our children, but the moral values that we teach them. In society today, kids grow up attached to electronics, & not having much in the way of values. Lots of them grow up without basic manners, or a true understanding of being moral. They see someone in a movie get their head chopped off or caved in, & it doesn't even bother them. I say we could use more movies like this, even if they are just made for tv, & hosted on the hallmark channel. At least movies like this, can if we let it help us become better people, better parents, & set better priorities in our life. For anyone that starts calling me a faith nut, I'm not. I just can't stand seeing a good movie being put down b/c you have closed minded individuals, without much personality being the critic, half of which don't even care about anything other then themselves.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThe plot has a lot of holes that needed filled and I wouldn't be surprised to see another sequel to continue the story.
