It's almost the most amazing movie ever...there are a few shortcomings. At times sentimental, but more often than not missing the feels to be truely beautiful art. I enjoyed it a lot though. I want a sequel.

As an adult - loved it! The water horse itself was affable and so adorable. Wish there were more creature-oriented movies like this.

A sweet if flawed look at the legendary Loch Ness Monster or Nessie for short. With some character issues and pacing issues. But the CGI is AMAZING. It does look cool and real. All and all, a cute very good family film.

    Good Movie and Great Story

This movie is a film for all ages. The camera work of the movie compliments the setting and makes it almost immersive. As the movie follows a young boy raising a loch ness monster type creature while trying to hide it from his family. There are many funny moments are the young boy tries to hide the monster from his family while it is growing bigger and bigger at a fast rate. Even though many would consider the CGI outdated, I think not only was it very good for the time the movie was produced, but also it adds a sense of nostalgia. All parents should show their kids this film, it is very imaginative, magical, and a movie that the whole family would enjoy watching.

The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep is obviously made for children, but this film is a little too long and a bit too slow for that audience. The creature still looks good, even though this film was made almost two decades ago. You can tell they put a lot of work into the visual effects. It's not a groundbreaking tale, but this may be the best movie based on the Loch Ness Monster.

It's been done a thousand times but nearly always better.

Boring movie, thought the creature was cute and that the plot could be interesting. Unfortunately, my expectations were never really realized in the film. I'd stay away from this movie.
