The World of Kanako

The World of Kanako I love this movie.

Impresionante cinta la de Nakashima. No solo cuenta con un guión bien construido, con una trama qeu se va desenredando en pequeños movimientos bien medidos, soportada además por grandes actuaciones, sino que cuenta con una de los montajes más impactantes que he visto nunca. Algo así no debería funcionar, es caótico, mareante, frenà (C)tico y barroco hasta decir basta, y aun así consigue mantenerte atento y bien informado de todo lo que esta pasando. Impresionante

A movie that can get confusing at times (at least for me it was) due to parallel time lines constantly switching back and forth. Its a very interesting plot re a father (former police detective) who is trying to find his missing daughter. After a number of revelations come out during discussions with people involved in her life, he realizes his daughter is not the girl he imagined her to be. There's lots of violence, and even some gore, during the quest to find her. Its not scary at all, but it touches some themes that are disturbing, especially considering the ages of the kids involved.

Holy shit... A kick ass mesh of Oldboy, Suicide Club, Visitor Q, Battle Royale, Kill Bill and Sin City. With a layer of originality that makes this powerhouse Feel like a kuck in the gut and a wild F**k. -Mary Catherine, Cowardice Queen.

Twisted as hell, brutal and bloody brilliant.

A nice cheery, seasonal number (cheers Jude!) Pretty damn great though and the final act is a cracker.

Once we have become lost in our journey, the only option to find our way is through darkness, in search of light.

Don't put yourself through this.

It's like Chinatown and Oldboy were put in a blender to create this noir detective film.

If Oldboy and Burning Man met up under the premise of the Chaser.
