Funny but never downplays the negative effects of mental illness (especially on loved ones).

An intimate look at some of the dilemmas of bipolar disorder and how it affects the person with the disorder and the other people in their lives. Seasoned with some tastefully honest laughs

Such an incursion into enemy territory, bipolar disease. Alex Heller either has first-hand experience with the disease or did her homework very well. If I met her in person I'd probably be shocked one way or the other.

This is literally my next "watch on a rainy sunday" or "watch when i'm feeling sad" or "watch when i want something easy and funny and feel good" movie! it's so funny and sweet and also made me cry - the acting is amazing, the writing is hilarious, and the story of someone going through a bipolar diagnosis is so rendered in such a relatable and human way… love it!
