A remarkable achievement…. I had no idea that this gem had been created. I also had no idea what the story was about… The magic lies in its utter simplicity, humanity and beauty…

I enjoyed this one with the family as it was kind of odd & quirky but still entertaining and fun to watch.

Quirky story, but charming. Great performance by the lead. I loved it. Very likeable. Watched a few times. I always love it. (A bit uneven in places, not exactly a smooth flow of scenes). Could have been a lot better, even an award contender, with better continuity and togetherness. Less would have been more.

Not worth watching. Kinda all over the place, lots of unnecessary filler, mediocre acting. Don't bother!

Sad that instead of rating the film on its own merits rather than based on one's inefficiencies or inadequcies of perception, people get lost in minutia and the petty. This is a fun film about youth, genius, and the foibles of human relations. T S's family consists of four very unique personalities who still love each other regardless. It's a triumph of human compassion over differemce and even science. It's about a strong willed boy of ten who's observation of shadow and form, of nature and science rival that of Leonardo da Vinci. But his genius can't overcome the emotion of loss and pain. In order to deal with it, he runs away. He also manufactures stories and events about his family to deal with the pain of loss. In the end, his genius moves him toward the protected and obsessive foibles of fame and fortune. But in the end, it is the strength and primacy of family that lifts and sustains. A great story of loss, misplaced notoriety, and the need for love and togetherness that helps all survive and thrive in the end.

Love this movie. It was reminiscent of Big Fish.
