- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsOne of the best movies I’ve ever seen. Very well acted and a fabulous cast. Brilliantly written. Loved Richard Roundtree of Shaft fame.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA comedy-drama film that follows a 93-year-old woman who falls victim to a phone scam, and sets out to find the perpetrators on a treacherous quest across the city to reclaim what was taken from her with the help of her grandson and her friend. The extremely talented June Squibb is endearing, sharp, and effortlessly funny. Her performance proves that age is no barrier to leading a spirited and adventurous story, much like she did in Nebraska. This film is both heartwarming and humorous, offering a touching tribute to grandparents everywhere. It is a reminder that growing old does not mean giving up, but rather embracing life with boldness and grace. Beneath its lighthearted tone, the film thoughtfully explores the limitations and deeper meaning of aging in today’s world.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA delightful film that balanced comedy with the dignity of aging. Loved the characters and everything about the film.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI thought this movie was pretty much perfect. Beautiful written, acted, and shot. It was funny and thoughtful and sweet and beautiful. The lead really nailed her part…. Amazing that she was 94 when the film was released! It might be harder for younger kids to Identify with because of the spoofing of action movies, but older kids will still probably enjoy it even if they don’t get the references.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMás les vale después de ponerle algo de bueno a basofias como Emilia Pérez. Una joya y encima hace referencias a MI y aparece Alex de la naranja mecánica 100/10
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsA funny and beautiful film about a badass grandma.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThe main character was self-centered, selfish, and mean, making it impossible to root for her.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsThe device of using the spy action tropes is fun and Squib, and her senior costars, are funny. The subplot about the grandson and the over protective parents grinds the movie to a crawl, and takes the wind out of the sails of a movie barely puttering along to begin with. If Squib isn’t on screen, play at 2x speed and this light hearted little adventure is a a pleasant watch.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA perfect film. Hilarious, beautiful, and heartwarming with an important message about resiliency and the incredible gifts and profound disappointments that come with getting old. I sobbed in the movie theater after the credits rolled. Not because it was a sad movie, but because it was so profoundly moving and deeply human.
