1001 nights relives in this movie. Costumes are magnificent, characters are well built and profound, and it is an hymn to love. I am not easy to move, but i started watching the movie thinking " i hava a spare two hours, let's give it a try" and after a while i found myself stuck to the chair, completely absorbed, and at the end i shed a tear of joy. So watch it if you want, and let yourself be transported by a fantastic story where Idris Elba and Tilda Swinton will kidnap you for two hours. Mr. Miller absolutely astounding at the direction, i did not knew him, i will look for others movie from him

Slow storyline, narrative style stifling, dialog wooden. I couldn’t have cared less about the characters as such couldn’t care less about the film. 1hr48mijs of my life wasted.

I love this type of movies, a genie 🧞‍♀️ in a bottle like 1001 Arabian nights, let your imagination run wild.

OH. MY. GENIE! 🧞‍♂️✨ Let me spill the magical tea about this ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS movie that had me living my best wish-granting life! Y'all, George Miller just dropped this sparkly gem called Three Thousand Years of Longing and HONEY, it's serving FANTASY REALNESS! We've got this super-smart bookworm who's like "Just another day studying stories" and BAM! - accidentally releases the most EXTRA djinn in history! This djinn is like "Girl, I'll grant you three wishes!" and she's all "Nuh-uh, I've read enough fairy tales to know this tea!" But then our magical bestie starts spilling THREE THOUSAND YEARS worth of drama and I. AM. LIVING! Each story is like a TikTok that went viral in ancient times - PURE AESTHETIC GOALS! The visuals? STUNNING! The drama? JUICY! The history? SERVED HOT AND FRESH! It's like watching the most epic historical gossip channel ever, and I'm here with my popcorn eating up every second! Now, the ending tried to pull a "plot twist" moment that wasn't exactly giving what it was supposed to give. It's like ordering a magical feast and getting served regular fries at the end - still good, but not quite what we were manifesting, you know? But DARLING, even with that tiny hiccup, this movie is still serving pure magical realness! It's like a bedtime story had a glow-up and decided to WERK the runway! 7/10 would absolutely recommend getting your wishes granted again! ✨🎭

You have to give it some room to breathe in its storytelling, and if you do… it’s a feast for the eyes, mind and heart.

This may not have been a box office success but it was a visual delight. Both lead actors without a doubt were terrific in telling the tales of the genie’s past, each set so luscious and beautiful. I really enjoyed, I thought it had a lot great deal going for it. George Miller is a master of filmmaking & he should be happy with the result.

Stumbled into the second half of this film on TV late at night. Instantly captivated. Everything about it is gorgeous, like finding a selection box with only your favourites left in it. (Idris the Djinn with pointy ears). Btw, the story doesn't run down like yet another a tired old clock because it's a sparkly, charming and funny fairy story for grown-ups.
