Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula
audience Reviews
, 76% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA strange sequel to Train to Busan, I was hoping for something better.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThis was a Korean attempt at something like Escape From New York. It was just ok. There were way too many times when the characters did something stupid to service the plot. Also, the ending was really lame.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNot the best zombie movie, but not bad. If you like car chases, this is for you.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsPeninsula is a sequel film that is apart of the Train to Busan movie. While it does start off with a promising start it quickly falls off the rails very quickly with cliche storyline. The excitement of 2016’s Train to Busan is you really didn’t know what to expect. That movie was exhilarating and fast moving. This film moves at a slower pace and is very predictable. The CGI scenes also seem to be of lower quality compared to the 2016 even though this latest movie was released in 2020. I still enjoyed a few scenes here where I was able to ultimately turn my brain off and watch some zombie chomping scenes. Peninsula gets a low 2 stars out of 5 from me.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 stars(SPOILERS) This movie is just so mid and also just did not feel like an Train To Busan movie (besides events of it only briefly mentioned in the beginning). The protagonists are sometimes dicks and they literally made an dramatic scene for nothing like bro what 💀
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNot a bad movie, but much worse than the first part. The ending was nice, but everything else was not very good, it looked like a bad 2000s action movie.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsPeninsula throws away the gritty realism of TTB and replaces it with shitty CGI, mindless action that would feel right at home in some bloated boring Marvel movie, and camp. This is Land of the Dead levels of disappointing. I found myself constantly just wanting the movie to finally end. I had no real attachment to any of the characters and thus felt nothing when they died. You're telling me the protagonist is ex high ranking military but doesn't know not to flag his friends with his gun and keep his finger off the trigger? He must also be magic because his gun seems to have infinite ammo. It feels like they wanted to make a generic action movie but had to make a zombie movie instead. This film does not deserve to use the title of Train to Busan. Watch that instead of this mess.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsMore action than horror. Still enjoyed it.
- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsThis is not even "Train to Busan" anymore, it is just some unnecessary sequel.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsIts like a forced sequel from a successful predecessor.
