Tropic Thunder

Do not hesitate to throat punch anybody that says this movie sucks and unfriend them in life quickly. You don't need that kind of negativity!

It's the first movie in years that made me laugh so much. Only saw it for the first time today. What a gem!

Tropic Thunder is a 2008 satirical action comedy film directed by Ben Stiller 🚁 While, the first half is much better than the second half, this is a fun and entertaining movie with lots of visual and spoken gags. Definitely one for the boys… It’s very good! 😀 I’d definitely recommend it 👍🏼 A group of self-absorbed actors set out to make the most expensive war film ever. After ballooning costs force the studio to cancel the movie, the frustrated director refuses to stop shooting, leading his cast into the jungles of Southeast Asia, where they encounter real bad guys.

A wacky, fun, and completely random movie with great performances. Got some great laughs out of it.

Possibly the funniest movie I have ever seen. I remember tears coming down my face the first time I saw it. If you love satire, and one of the greatest cast ever assembled, you will love this movie!

I mean, it was really funny. But the rest of the movie was just kinda there. Like they gave us an idea of what to expect early, but seemed to do away with that idea for basically the rest of the film. Kinda mid imo

The worst movie I've ever seen. It's the only movie I've ever paid for, but walked out of the theater before it was over. That's all I would say (or felt like I could say) about the movie if it ever came up in conversation. But I figured I'd give it another shot in Jan 2025. There have been a few "out there" movies I didn't "get" the first time (Super Troopers, Napoleon Dynamite, etc) and thought maybe that was the case with this. Nope. I've seen it start to finish now and can accurately say it's the worst movie I've ever seen. It's not offensive to me, but it's just not smart or funny or anything positive. The tropes it's supposed to be caricaturing are just obvious so I don't really understand what I'm supposed to laugh at. The whole movie is like a bad impression of Jerry Seinfeld: "What's the deal with <topic>?! *uncomfortable silence* Am I right?!"

A stupid, shallow, self-absorbed hollywood movie (stupid plot of a movie within a movie) that falls totally flat. It’s all-star cast couldn’t save it. The only thing that gave me a bit of a laugh was the trailers. As a side note, I did appreciate Robert Downey He’s acting, but it couldn’t redeem the movie.
