So predictable. Poorly written, it appears to be a montage of themes and characters from other popular movies i.e. Training Day with Denzel Washington comes to mind immediately. Mr. Perry seems to pride himself on writing his own scripts and apparently he has quite a following; however, no hate, but I am not a fan.

I keep thinking one day Tyler Perry will make a decent film as a director. Unfortunately this film is not it. It's quite a shame as there are some talented actors who are unfortunately phoning in their performances or just kind of meh. Some of the acting is pretty terrible if not all of it. Everything delivered slow dramatic pauses, just got me exhausted. The twist wasn't particularly clever and honestly by the time it's comes around you're just mildly interested in it. Watch if you're after something trashy.

Kat Graham shines as the lead in pleasantly surprisingly solid Tyler Perry script.

Great guy, just bad at art. They didn't give us a reason to care about the husband; the TV stuff was unrealistic and wrong.

Very elementary writing and acting on behalf of Tyler Perry. Inconsistency and gaps in the story line. I understand the message, but one could easily understand politics alongside cinema don’t corroborate well. Use Snow White for instance.

Giving it a 3, surprisingly I was beginning to enjoy it cuz I already had the mindset not to. However, true to TP's writing, the ending was rushed and confusing, too many moving parts. This 3 is generous.

This movie was terrible, but it’s a Tyler Perry film, so I’m not shocked. The script was horrible, the acting was over the top and unnecessarily dramatic while also being extremely underwhelming, again, not a surprise. I don’t fully blame the actors, I blame the directing as well. The reason being that the vast majority of Tyler Perry’s films are acted the same way. I’m not sure what they’re telling the actors to do on set, but they need to stop. The script was predictable but also had a lot of unnecessary exposition. I think Tyler Perry thinks his audience is stupid, which makes sense, because only an idiot with zero media literacy would think this was a good movie. I only watched it myself to see if I could predict the ending and to see if it was as bad as people were saying. It was much worse. It’s an insult to the art form that Tyler Perry doesn’t care enough about his work to do a halfway decent job. I guess he figures the hard work is over since he’s made his money, and considering his audience is too air headed to see that he’s making a fool of them with these flicks. I guess I can’t really blame him for continuing to churn out these train wrecks. Tyler Perry doesn’t care about filmmaking, he cares about money making, and that’s about it. As long as his slopfests continue to make him a lil bit of cash, he’s gonna keep putting them out. It’s pathetic really, but in 2025 you really can’t expect more from this disaster “artist”.

Duplicity is an intriguing thriller directed by Tyler Perry, released in 2025 from his production studio in Georgia. Initially, as I settled in to watch the film, I found myself doubting its potential to meet my expectations. However, as the story unfolded, it increasingly captivated my interest. The plot was filled with unexpected twists and turns, keeping me on my toes as I followed the intricate investigation. I was surprised to discover that many of the plot developments were cleverly hidden right before my eyes, leading to a thrilling conclusion. The climax of the film—though not the resolution—was particularly striking in its execution. I won't give too much away, but let's just say it involves a flare gun, which left me questioning the plausibility of that scenario. I prefer not to spoil the experience for anyone since it's a fresh release, but I genuinely believe it’s worth watching. I found it to be an enjoyable film with a solid cast and commendable production quality. I would certainly consider watching it again. Overall, it’s a well-crafted movie that deserves a look.

I had hope this was going to be a great movie. The story line had its twist and turns but soap opera like. I can do without watching again..
