- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI saw Up The Junction many years ago and liked the natural performances of Adrienne Posta and Maureen Lipman who acted really well. And Suzy Kendall acted well and looked great with Denns Waterman. On Facebook we have a group called (Up The Junction Film 1967 Suzy Kendall Dennis Waterman Adrienne Posta) with 583 members including Adrienne Posta and Tony Klinger Producer on the film and Sound Editor Ron Taylor. We have several interesting pictures and videos. Please take a look.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsSlightly dated British slice-of-life drama.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsEntertaining bit of drama, posh bird roughs it because she wants to make her own way in the world, without being a 'parasite'. Lots of eventful stuff going on, and very atmospheric. Music is good too. And it's fun to see some familiar faces when they were much younger.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsbrilliant film & it sort of reminds me of the story of the Buddha in a way.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsThe lead characters are a vibrant whirlwind of bouffant hairdos, dirty laughs and the latest brightly coloured 60's fashions that spin into every alley way and crevice of 60's Battersea exposing the grim realities of their daily lives for us all to see. At the eye of the storm is Polly (anna?) a plum voiced princess from Chelsea who chooses this life over her own getting a job at the factory and living in a bedsit. Polly's brief act of rebellion however innocent proves destructive when she allows Peter a removals boy for a secondhand furniture dealer to fall for her. Emotions run high and reality looms closer to reach an inevitable conclusion. Excellent 60's drama.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsThis has a few flaws, it's slightly cliched as borrows elements (such as the back street aborton) from better movies such as 'Alfie'. While you never seem to get to know and understand the main character. That said, this is very well acted (I'm suprised that Adrienne Posta never had a better career as she steals this movie) and the score by Manfred Mann is first rate.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is a truthful slice of the sixties and an iconic film of it's time. It's look and feel is gritty and the soundtrack supplied by the Manfred Mann Band fits in beautifully. Highly recommended.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is my favorite of the 'kitchen sink' dramas the other one being 'A Taste of Honey'
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI suppose its the best of the "Red bus" British films saw the play many years later. Battersea is now a desireable area
