Not quite as tragic as the true life event itself, but a tragedy all the same. In the hands of a decent director, competent writers, and capable actors this could have been a classic war movie befitting the subject matter. Instead, we get a made for TV, B-movie that fails on all fronts. If you really want to learn about the tragedy of the USS Indianapolis there are some fine documentaries available. They're 10X more insightful and impactful than this nonsense.

I am not sure who has it worse. The viewers of this bomb or the men of the Indy. So much crap they had to make it last over 2 hours. Get the Imodium because something has to give

I love war movies but this was terrible. Acting was B movie at best. Some of the scenes were just cringe worthy...A guy gets burned opening a door on the ship and there was no fire in the room to heat the door. The captain is somehow separated from the crew in the ocean...um how the hell does that happen when they all went down together. Just plain dumb. I want my 2 hours of life back from watching this train wreck.

A Movie from 2016 is much more worse than a Movie from 1997... The Specialeffects are disgusting compared to Titanic... just one example of many's....

So boring. Took forever to get going. And even then, come on. It's based on a very interesting true story.

Just suffers from poor production values, writing, CGI, cardboard characters, etc, but other than that fine. One issue they had going in to this is if you are going to film a tragic story, there has to be a higher purpose. I am not sure delivering a nuke qualifies, but you (and the movie) could make an uncompelling emotional argument about ending the war earlier. The ending drones on a bit too long as well. It DOES have Cage and Sizemore in it, but other than that most of the cast are cardboard place holders

1 star because I appreciate the the WW2 genre. But movie is cringeworthy.

Just plain terrible. It must have been incredibly difficult to turn such an amazing story into such a horrible film.

Wow. Just Wow. Why would anyone finance or allow such a train wreck of a movie to make it to the public? Just the worst movie you should never watch. Your kids just made a better movie in the backyard last week. Oh, they didn't make a movie, you say? Yea, what they did not make was infinitely better than this.

It's like one of the most tragic stories of WWII was written by the same people that wrote high school musical 🤦‍♂️
