Idk why people hate this movie This movie is amazing

My fourth or fifth viewing. This movie is a masterpiece; of script, cinematography, acting and filming. The characters, their family dynamics and individual makeup is perfect. It is the perfect blend of scifi and horror.

This movie had so many sequences that made no sense. Why were people traveling? Where were they going to? Why did they always gather around the alien ships like it was some sort of spectacle? Why did they rush towards the fight with Robbie left? Literally dozens of scared people running TOWARDS the gunfight! Dumbest movie I’ve ever watched. Scary movie 4 was the only reason I kept watching…. It was that bad!

I don’t know what on earth I just watched but it definitely has the Steven Spielberg energy that I always loved!

Badly aged, alien with superior technology are killed by microbes? And doesn’t have thought about it…really forced

This movie was really thrilling and intense, and it was so much fun to watch. This is definitely one of the best alien invasion movies I have ever seen. I definitely recommend it for sci-fi and thriller fans!

Very good movie. Lots of action scenes

A classic good solid alien movie

Too far-fetched to be enjoyable. You're constantly asking yourself 'why?' and lose track of the story. Like why didn't the crashed jet destroy the entire house but left pictures still neatly on a wall. Why didnt the crashed jet contain bodies. Why did the tripods spend so much time searching an empty field when rampaging populated areas was the main theme. Why was Boston pefectly untouched. Why didn't Robbie die after running into a mass explosion. Also there's some bad cutting. A lady with blonde hair in the diner suddenly disappears. Why? The constant screaming of Rachel is also very annoying. She screams relentlessly through almost every scene and you feel like saying 'cut it out!' You just feel glad that all the aliens got the Covid virus.

Decent sci-fi thriller. Rating: 6.1/10
