Both characters and situation are little more than routine.

The film is very theatrical and admittedly 'staged,' but always purposefully.

This is the easiest to admire and the hardest to like of Ozon's films released in America.

Ozon's most controlled film to date has taken a claustrophobic character study... t and turned it into an often sardonic but always absorbing observation of human beings enslaved by their addiction to sex.
