Wedding Daze

As a huge fan of Isla Fisher, American Pie, and off-beat comedies I thought this could be a sleeper. The premise was good, cast very good too...boy, was I wrong. Dreadful execution, the Director was a Trainwreck and the story diabolical. A charmless, nasty affair.

idk, why they bombarded this movie so hard over here. i guess some 20 years later after its release, it kinda hits you different.

I can't recommend this. It has a pretty good premise - two people in a rough patch spontaneously decide to get married. The lead actors are not stellar, but they are likeable and do a decent job. I think the biggest problem here is they are going for a light romcom crossed with gross out 'American Pie' type humor, and it just feels really forced. The sidekicks are all retreads of better supporting characters in much funnier films.

Isla Fisher is the only thing I can recommend here. As movies go, this is a trainwreck.

I have no clue what made this movie so much fun (apart from Isla Fisher’s amazing combination of funny and gorgeous) — but it just was! Perhaps the goofy premise, perhaps the weird characters everywhere, perhaps everyone’s general cluelessness. I’ll never know!

It had lots of potential, I loved the idea, but there was so much unnecessary sexual scenes and jokes. Im disappointed in the ending, and think that the movie didn’t really go anywhere. Waste of good time.

Well, at least they tried…

The cringe was intense. I couldn't watch the movie until the end.

Minha opinião: Biggs é um daqueles atores que fidelizaram seu papel a um filme. Para desassociar o papel da personagem é uma luta. Ex: Harry Porter de Daniel, 007 de Roger Moore, e isso acontece aqui com Biggs, sempre sera associado American Pie. Aqui ele faz um par com Fisher, mas o filme é um besteirol. Se você gosta de filme assim, assista. Caso não, então não assista, pois irá passar raiva. Que foi o meu caso. E o filme já aparece com Biggs em uma fantasia de anjo tarado para pedir a mão de sua namorada. E claro tudo da errado. Ela morre e ele entra em depre. Paralelo a isso a vida de Fisher tb não vai bem. Com desilusões amorosas. Até que um dia Biggs entra na cafeteria que Fisher trabalha e pede ela em casamento. E ela aceita, sem se conhecerem. Fisher vai morar com Biggs. E toda lambaça já esta feita. Pois além dos amigos entrometerem tem os pais dos dois tb. E no fina todos vão presos. E Fim. Roteiro e enredo doido e sem graça. Vale apena assistir? Não. Nota: 3
