I was extremely surprised to see the low tomato score for this one! But maybe the disappointed reviews are about wrong expectations - this is not a thriller or a gangster movie, but a haunting social realist drama. It is raw, unsentimental and brutal in its description of people who have almost nothing, but still have a world to lose. Stellar performances from the entire cast and a dark vision that is hard to shake off. A deeply moving, and, in my opinion, very well accomplished work!

Totally forgettable (if not for the solid acting of McConaughey) drug-dealer-flick. There's a million stories about drug dealers out there, a few are really outlandish, but only a few, the rest is just dumb people dealing drugs and getting busted or killed. This film is of the latter category. Save your time.

Based on a true story where a young kid was made into a government informant where their was nothing but drugs and corruption on the mean streets and the clean streets.

Why does hokeywood persist in making heroes out of the dreggs of society? Drug dealers are not heroes, no matter how hokeywood tries. This is why America is so fucked up.

This bio crime drama portrays how corrupt the American justice system truly is. The sad tale of a 13-year-old who was on the street, with a father who did gun crimes. The FBI & local police misuse this young boy. Matthew McConaughey provides his usual outstanding acting.

McConaughey is again great and carries this flick. There is just not much more to it.

White Boy Rick is an okay film. It is about a teenager who became an undercover informant for the FBI during the 1980s. Matthew McConaughey and Ritchie Merritt give decent performances. The script is a little slow in places. Yann Demange did an alright job directing movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama.

Too much story to cram into 1 hour 50 minutes. This movie should have either been 3 hours long, or a mini series. Just didn't allow enough time for certain things to develop. Payoff wasn't as good as it could have been. Good acting. Great story. Worth a watch, but could have been better
