X-Men: Apocalypse
audience Reviews
, 65% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI so wanted this movie to be good. But, it wasn’t. Quicksilver was the best part unfortunately. But, it is worth getting through for him.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsSo terrible on so many levels. There are dozens of consistencies within the film itself. Not just in the character development or in lack of continuity between the comics, but just in the basic wheelchairs that professor x uses, clothes that people are wearing, situations that people are in. This is one sloppy sloppy movie that seems to have one goal, and that goal being to destroy X-Men movies forever. It's bad enough that they mess with timelines and completely discount origin stories, but so much emphasis is given to such trivial things. I hope that one Marvel starts making X-Men movies they will stay extremely close to the comic timeline and not introduce other characters out of sequence with the comics. And mostly acting is kind of terrible. Lastly, the last guy who plays professor x is pretty pathetic and totally miscast for the film. Moreover, professor x was not a lecherous creeper in the books. And this makes him look like almost a comical bumbling teenage minded creep
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsA lot of fun, but the plot seems lacking at times and there are a few too many X-men reintroduced while also focusing on old characters, making the pacing feel a bit confused. Quicksilver steals the best scene again and Charles and Erik continue to be the best part of the film. Apocalypse himself is a bit under done and disappointing.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThe movie was an average Xmen film.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis movie doesn't deserve all the hates it gets. Oscar Issac did an AMAZING job as En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse's real name). Me and my older brother's favorite lines are, "You can fire your arrows from the Tower of Babel, but you can never strike god!" and "All is revealed". Marvel please make Apocalypse be the main villain of the MCU Mutant Saga.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsThe story was really convoluted and wasn't that interesting. The movie had some great visuals, and I liked Apocalypse as a villain, but overall, it wasn't enough to make the movie great.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThis movie was pretty good I thought I don’t think it deserves the hate it gets the guy who played the apocalypse did a good job and I love the quick silver scene that was so funny and definitely the best scene in the movie
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNot that bad but that good
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsA lot better than people make out and this has aged very well. The first scene alone is better than most movies! Michael Fassbender is at his best and the movie is much more powerful than other X men films.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsNot terrible, but far from good.
