Yellowbird
audience Reviews
, 44% Audience Score- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsThe message for kids isn't perfect for the majority of the movie, but it gets it right by the end, and causes a lot of laughs along the way.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsThis movie is literally the worst!!!!!! There is nothing more to be said. Honestly this movie really sucked......wouldn't recommend it to any REAL movie-lovers.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsfunny movie with unique premise. But this movie just has 'good' screenplay and poor dialogue. Also this movie has weird design and weird ending. overall this movie still funny
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsNot all the birds born navigator. This 'Yellowbird' came between 'Free Birds' and 'Angy Birds'. I liked all the three. They all about the birds, but different from each others. This is a French film in English language. It tells the story of a yellow bird who was raised by a ladybug. All his life he lived in a small safe enclosure, but the destiny chooses him to lead a flock of birds to migrate during the eve of winter. Without any experience how he manages to accomplish the mission is what covered in the remaining parts. The animation standards were high. The character models and backgrounds, all were impressive. Even the colours and texture were so good. But the story was weak. The adventure did not have any major impressive scene. It has some decent jokes, but not an adventure to define the film. It was a simple story about a lie and doing the right thing after realising that. I am sure not everyone would enjoy it, but kids would. For me, it had lots of ups and downs throughout the narration. At least it ended decently. Animation films won't release every weekend and I have seen almost all the top ones so far, so what's next are these ones. For the animation fans, this won't be a bad flick if you welcome quality ones, except the story which was just okay. That means it is for the selected viewers. 6.5/10
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThought this one was a little disappointing as I thought they could have done more with it, but, it was still pretty good overall
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsCGI could have done better nowadays. Preschoolers might like this one.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsThey swallow up humans and spit them out someplace else. A yellow bird hatches from his egg in the middle of an old shop with no mother or friends around. He wanders around the shop until he meets some insects he becomes friends with. They convince him to eventually leave the shop and search for his family. He comes across a flock flying south for the winter who losses their leader. The leader's responsibilities are passed onto the naive yellow bird...can the yellow bird lead the flock to safety? "You're kind of cute, don't you think?" Christian De Vita, who worked on Space Jam, Frankenweenie, and Fantastic Mr. Fox, delivers Yellowbird in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture is very entertaining and the settings were cool and well animated. The animation style was beautiful and solid for the genre. "I'm getting a vibe." This was recently added to the Netflix queue and I decided to add it to the wish list to watch with my daughter. We loved it and actually watched it twice in a row. This may not be an all time classic, but it is on par with Madagascar, Ice Age, and other recent films just a notch below the classic Pixar gems being put out. I recommend giving this a viewing. "It really is a river of fireflies." Grade: C+
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI would say it is not a very exciting story but it is a movie that will make good vibrations come to you. So, if you want a fun and "feel-good" movie, this should help. :)
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsIt was a far cry from good animation and even my toddlers who are the target audience were left bored and uninterested. The movie definitely fell flat with our household. the graphics were terrible and the storyline seemed like it was a rip off of Zambezia which also didn't do as so well a few years earlier.
