Really enjoy this movie from my childhood. Shows the importance of family and how happy a family will make you. Great film.

Yeah, I really enjoyed this movie. I know that the nostalgia goggles are effecting my score a lot but frankly I think it did what a family movie is supposed to do. Is it The Godfather or The Shawshank Redemption? Hell no. However it does a really good job for the genre it is in. I don't except that much out of a family movie but this met my expectations. But in the end, I don't need to justify my opinion of a kids movie from 2005 to a bunch of people on rotten tomatoes. I like it, it's a fun movie for me.

It was a pretty good kid's movie though I've seen better. The kids will probably enjoy it.

A ripoff of Cheaper by the Dozen but with the children being more downright sociopathic, Yours, Mine & Ours is yet another going-through-the-motions family comedy from the 2000's. True, I laughed a few times, Rene Russo certainly did a better job selling the illusion that she wanted to be there than Dennis Quaid but the film relies on uninspired comedic pratfalls, the bland direction of Raja Gosnell and I can't say I found myself rooting for their children once they conspire to break up their parents as a reverse-Parent Trap. At least it's mercifully short and feels short too, right down to the ending. A film that cemented Gosnell's reputation as a hack director only interested in family-oriented films for the easy paycheck. Could his career have turned out differently if he directed James Gunn's original, more explicitly college-student-oriented version of the live-action Scooby-Doo movie before studio interference had it retooled into a more family-friendly film after they got cold feet? Quite the "What If...?" question that crossed my mind.

Cute enough but a bit too goofy for its own good.

I haven't seen the original Yours, Mine & Ours yet, but I hope it's better than this one. This remake was almost likeable, but it's difficult to completely enjoy a movie when most of the child actors sound like they're still rehearsing, and the conflicts are so manufactured that you can almost see the assembly line. I like Dennis Quaid. I like Rene Russo. I even like Danielle Panabaker. I just didn't like this movie.

Another nostalgic family comedy. There's a lot of slapstick in this film which is fun, but the plot turns disappointing in the latter half. Seeing the kids bond to break their parents up is just an excuse to get the kids to bond in general. The more times I have watched the film, however, it's less disappointing and I have appreciated for what it is. A slapstick family comedy that you have to try be patient as the laughter of the slapstick stops. For kids and some adults, they might find it worth watching for the slapstick and like me, be patient when the film needs to slow down. Thank goodness the film didn't spawn any sequels as big as this huge family.
